Über die Folgen der Pandemie und die „Forschung in der Krise“ sprach BMBF-Projektmitarbeiter Mirko Broll mit der Gewerkschaft ver.di. Im Interview äußerte sich der Soziologe zum innovativen Potential der Gesundheitsbewegung in Griechenland, die im Zentrum seines Dissertationsprojekts steht.
Broll betonte, wie im Umgang mit der Austeritätspolitik seit 2010 eine von der Zivilgesellschaft getragene Graswurzelbewegung entstanden war. Sie bündelt nicht-kommerzielle Kliniken, Ärzte, Pfleger und Apotheken und wird durch Geld- und Sachspenden getragen. Die Bewegung zeige, dass eine Gesundheitsversorgung auch abseits einer primär ökonomischen Rationalität möglich sei.
Das griechische Modell könne deshalb als Inspiration für eine solidarische Organisation des Gesundheitswesens dienen. Das gelte gerade für die Zeit der Pandemie, in der auch in Deutschland die Missstände im Gesundheitswesen zunehmend deutlich würden.
